| "THE BAND" |
One2Many began in 2002 when Gary Hayek (drums) and Randy Walker (guitar), long time co-workers and friends, decided it was time to pool their efforts and create a classic rock and blues band. Over the next three years there were several format and personnel changes and finally in 2005 Marty Bergerud (bass) joined the band and the lineup has remained steady since then. Gary had played in numerous rock, dance and concert bands in Chicago and Milwaukee over the years and most recently had long standing stint in Burgundy Road. His credits go back to the early 60’s when he was a trumpet player in the US Army band. Marty has been staple on the Chicago music scene since the 60’s also. He began as a guitar player and matriculated to bass in the mid-80’s and played in The New Society Band, Razmatazz and most recently the Atomic Martini’s. Randy grew up on the east coast and began gigging in the early 70’s. While at Kent State University, he played with a popular Cleveland 50’s band The Fabulous Blue Moons. From 2000 until 2006, he was involved in the worship team at his local church. With only three members, One2Many displays a sound larger than their numbers would indicate. Their repertoire includes tunes by the Eagles, Beatles, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Springsteen, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. Not only are they musically tight, but their three part harmonies bring an added punch to provide a high level of vitality to their performances that continually keep audiences on their feet. |
